Landscape Architect
Growing up in a cactus nursery Cristina developed interest and passion for nature and plants. She dreamt of learning how to creatively design space with such elements, so she decided to attend the landscape architecture school. Her research field includes ecological design, nature inclusive practices and the exploration of the landscape as cultural heritage as a matter of identity for the people living in it. She is passionate about topics such as ecological democracy, participatory processes which directly involve local communities and she believes that the shaping of the landscape starts with the direct interaction with its inhabitants and the understanding of the specific character of places.
Aside work, Cristina enjoys volunteering with the Bird Life association in Italy (LIPU) and exploring the landscape on her in-line skates.
