We are proud to unveil the master plan for the Art Park in Daejeon, South Korea, made in collaboration with UNStudio. The park will host a variety of cultural facilities, with the Music Performance Hall by UNStudio, serving as a key attraction, and being shortlisted for the upcoming architectural competition! The landscape design features two “ribbons” – cultural and natural, meandering between the cultural buildings and outdoor art installations. The natural ribbon, with its undulating landscape and native plants, enhances the site’s ecology and connects it to the river park. The presence of rich planting not only contributes to cooling the air through evaporation and shade but also serves an educational purpose. A water channel running alongside the strip collects rainwater from pavements and buildings, promoting sustainable water management. The cultural ribbon offers diverse outdoor facilities for the local community. Enhanced by blossoming fruit trees, it serves as a hub of engagement and plays a crucial role in building a resilient community. In collaboration with: UNStudio. Renders: ZOA Studio
